Key Responsibilities:
- Provide a strategic vision for every client and every campaign you oversee, through clear strategies that you help embed within the account teams.
- Develop specific presentations, proposals, reports and content that will help shape the client’s comms and marketing plans.
- Build a deep understanding of clients’ business and audiences by gathering and synthesising insights from first, second and third-party data sources.
- Influence senior client stakeholders, provide answers and advice, and proactively bring the agency’s thoughts and ideas into any strategy or planning presentations.
- Develop comms and campaign planning, messaging, narratives, brand architectures and thought leadership content that provide the foundation for client programmes and campaigns.
- Provide insight into and understanding of the broader financial services industry and where the client sits within it, to be able to advise them effectively.
- Bring together a diverse range of strategy and planning skills, from brand positioning and campaign planning to social, digital, and content thinking; expertly brief the creative team, providing the strategic direction and defining the guidelines from which they can work their magic.
- Encourage an environment for creative discussion, idea generation and proactive new business proposals.
- Line manage a strategist or junior strategist, or provide coaching and inspiration for them.
- Push all creative and strategic boundaries in your work to ensure our thinking and work is always as distinctive and relevant as it can be.
- Develop your strategy, marketing and financial services knowledge and skill set to actively suggest new ideas for clients.
- Lead courses as part of our internal training programme.
