THE ROLE OF SENIOR ACCOUNT EXECUTIVE AT VCCP ROAR
As a Senior Account Executive, you are responsible for managing the day-to-day operation and delivery of a broad range of integrated communications projects.
Using your skills, you will support your team in the administration of projects, collaborate with the agency’s various teams, manage production of campaigns, and develop strong relationships with your clients.
- SENIOR ACCOUNT EXECUTIVE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

- Assist in the day-to-day delivery of creative and digital work
- Be proactive and positive at all times, and help them to find solutions without waiting to be asked
- Have or build a good working rapport with key client contacts
- Assist in the efficient management of projects to agreed budgets and timings
- Strive to develop a great understanding of their brand, their business and the products that they market
- Client management & account handling
- Support your team to implement the approved creative/digital routes, ensuring efficient production processes are implemented, liaising with studio and client as appropriate and ensuring that work is delivered on time and within budget
- Ensure implementation of and alignment with defined studio processes for creative development, production and sign-off
- Implement appropriate planning and control mechanisms, weekly status reports, cost estimates and timing plans to ensure that projects are managed effectively
- Create competitor analysis for clients and keep up to date on competitor activities
- Liaising with suppliers or internal departments to ensure delivery of requirements from production specifications to quality printed output and online campaigns
- Ensure all specs/formats for online campaigns are obtained and are put into a production brief for the AM and digital team to use
- Ensure day-to-day communication with all clients in the first instance by phone but backed up by e-mail.
- When applicable, attend meetings and produce accurate contact reports within 48 hours
- Measurement and samples - ensure the results (and any samples) from campaigns are collected and appropriately filed
- Support on all campaign elements where possible across your own team and other teams
- Build client relationships
- Produce client case studies for use in new business presentations
- Leadership & agency culture
- Act as a role model and support for team members, always embodying agency values, showing willingness, enthusiasm and proactivity in all tasks
- Support the wider team by sharing expertise and previous experiences
- Proactively drive your own personal development by participating in training programs and seeking out new knowledge
- Show confidence and creativity within internal and external meetings
- Demonstrate insight, imagination and innovation in every task delivered
- Take an active, positive role in Roar’s culture, supporting marketing drive, agency initiatives and social activities
- Business growth
- Have a good understanding of Roar’s basic financial processes
- Always complete timesheets and understand the importance of accurate timesheet recording
- Understand the agency’s services and capabilities and begin to identify opportunities for organic business development
- Participate in brainstorms and provide essential research, insights, and proposals for new business pitches
Your skills/experience
- A minimum of 1 year past experience as a Senior Account Executive or Account Executive
- Ideally, some financial services experience
- An understanding of digital, design, marketing, production techniques and agency systems and procedures
