VCCP is the global challenger network for challenger brands. With more than 1,500 people across 13 offices in North America, EMEA and APAC, we challenge convention to deliver value for the world’s most ambitious organisations. We believe transformation happens when everything works together. That’s why we bring specialists from every discipline - strategy, AI, data, media, digital, experience, branding, creativity, production, PR, CX, CRM, employee engagement and beyond - into one fully integrated network. We were founded on the principles of simplicity, collaboration and un-preciousness, and we’ve grown by staying true to them. Today, our clients include some of the world’s most recognisable and progressive brands, such as Virgin Media O2, Barclays, Cadbury, Compare the Market, Domino’s, White Claw, easyJet, Primark and Co-op. VCCP has topped the AAR’s annual new business ranking in 13 of the last 14 years and holds multiple Agency of the Year titles. Across every company and every capability, we share the same ambition: to challenge ourselves, challenge our clients and challenge the industry for the better.

THE ROLE: Working in our Loyalty CRM Team, you will be working closely with a brilliant bunch of dedicated account handlers, creatives, strategists, data and tech specialists who look after how we engage, build and connect consumers with our fantastic client brands. Reporting directly into a Senior Account Director, you'll support on everything from customer strategy projects, social, customer mapping and journey development, and multi-channel comms development (from hyper-personalised emails through to landing pages and all other 1-1 channels). You'll need a strong digital background, a good understanding of data and excellent account management skills (well organised, upbeat, positive attitude and ability to communicate well at all levels). Most importantly, you'll be excited about joining a growing team and helping to supercharge VCCP Loyalty & CRM credentials. This role is to work specifically on one of our big signature clients, but from time to time will include providing support on some of our other clients.

CREATIVE: The creative aspirations across the VCCP Group are very high. Our Account Managers should be able to demonstrate outstanding creative judgement and, working with the Planning and Creative department, take responsibility for the highest standard of creative output possible. They shouldn’t be afraid to challenge the work to make it better. They are also responsible for helping to prepare inspiring creative briefings and client presentations and be able to present confidently and passionately when required. They should live and breathe our agency mantra ‘to create work that populates culture’ and should be relentless in their pursuit of doing this.

STRATEGIC: The VCCP Group is famous for its strategic thinking. Account Managers at VCCP are expected to contribute to the strategic process and have a well-informed strategic point of view based on a good understanding of the client’s competitor set and wider out-of-category examples.

CLIENT MANAGEMENT: Our Account Managers build and maintain good relationships with the day-to-day clients at a junior to mid-level and are expected to gain their confidence quickly. It goes without saying that all AM’s at VCCP should be born multi-taskers and have the ability to spin many plates at the same time, whilst displaying charm and calmness to the internal VCCP team and client. They should be meticulous in the detail and provide dedicated support to the Account Director leading their piece of business.

COMMUNICATION: VCCP Account Managers have excellent communication skills, both internally and with the client. They are born presenters; they have professionalism and presence with their clients and are clear and concise in all spoken and written communications both to the client and the internal team. They capture all client feedback and disseminate the relevant information, clearly and concisely to the wider agency and client teams as required.

LEADERSHIP & TEAMWORK: VCCP Account Managers must be able to work with creative producers to ensure the smooth running of the account. They take the initiative and thrive on the entrepreneurial opportunities that present themselves, reporting directly into the Account Director. They are excellent at inspiring their planners and creative partners through the cycle of a given project. Process experts, they know how to make the agency work and drive the creative production process in partnership with their producer. They are born leaders.

FINANCIAL: VCCP Account Managers support the Account Director in the day-to-day financials of the account. They work with their creative production partners to keep track of production budgets whilst supporting the Account Director on fees, budgeting and forecasting. They have a good understanding of the client’s budget, but in keeping with the agency's entrepreneurial spirit, are always on the lookout for opportunity and growth.

INTEGRATION: Written large across the walls of the agency is VCCP’s founding mantra is ‘IT ONLY WORKS IF IT ALL WORKS’. All Account Managers in the VCCP Group should have a broad range of skills to ensure ideas are conceived and delivered with this in mind. They are responsible for challenging siloed thinking by ensuring an idea is media-agnostic and that it is a simple enough thought that can work across every consumer touchpoint. Overall, the Account Manager will be committed to making a positive contribution to the VCCP Group and ensuring we deliver motivating, insightful strategies and powerful creative ideas that are excitingly and professionally implemented.
