ABOUT THE ROLE
Our role as the Recruitment team is to attract excellent, diverse talent and provide a best-in-class candidate experience from first approach through to life as a VCCP’er.
As a Recruitment Manager with a specialism in Tech, you’ll partner directly with senior management across our Tech, Data, AI, and Product teams to hire exceptional talent that will help shape the future of the agency.
We’re looking for someone who combines the curiosity of a headhunter with the commercial mindset of a business partner, thriving in a fast-moving, challenger environment.
You will bring the sort of innovation and inspiration to the hiring experience that continues to make us stand out as a world-class network.
While your core focus will be driving technical talent pipelines, you’ll also work closely with the Head of Recruitment and Recruitment Partner on strategic hires outside of the tech space.
VCCP utilises a high volume of freelancers across the group; a critical part of your role will be driving initiatives to streamline this freelance process and reduce our overall spend with external agencies.
The Recruitment team works in tandem with the People team day-to-day, but we don’t sit tucked away in a corner - we actively hot-desk around VCCP to embed ourselves with our Hiring Managers and wider teams.
You will be a driving force in continuing to raise the profile of the Recruitment team within the Group, ensuring we are looked upon as a trusted, credible, and highly consultative partner for all hires, at all levels.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to
- End-to-End Delivery & Talent Sourcing
- Full-Lifecycle Ownership: Lead end-to-end recruitment across the VCCP Group for Technology, Data, AI, Product, and Digital hires.
- Direct Sourcing: Proactively direct-source exceptional technical talent using multiple channels, building diverse talent “benches” before immediate vacancies even arise.
- Freelance Optimisation: Act as a driving force to streamline the high-volume freelance recruitment process, tracking and reducing external agency dependency across the group.
- Interview Delivery: Coordinate and conduct hands-on interviewing - from initial first-stage screens, to face-to-face deep dives alongside Hiring Managers.
- Stakeholder Partnership & Market Advisory
- Strategic Partnering: Partner with senior stakeholders on long-term hiring strategy, workforce planning, and talent attraction.
- Market Insights: Keep your finger on the pulse of the London job market, competitor movements, and latest recruitment methodologies to advise internal teams.
- Commercial
Monitoring: Track salary benchmarking for technical market rates (ensuring utmost discretion with sensitive data) and monitor our overall service to enable measurable targets that demonstrate the team’s commercial impact
- Vendor Management: Evaluate and manage our Tech PSL, ensuring external partners understand VCCP and are qualifying high-calibre talent appropriately.

- Experience Champion: Continue to drive and safeguard our best-in-class candidate experience, ensuring consistent, constructive, and timely feedback for every applicant.
- Inclusive Hiring: Champion structured interviewing and diversity best practices throughout the entire assessment pipeline
- Community
Engagement: Develop networks with external tech communities to build long-term DE&I attraction strategies, representing VCCP by occasionally speaking at public industry events.
- Systems, Data & AI Innovation
- Data-Driven Sourcing: Utilise Greenhouse and recruitment data to inform hiring decisions, optimise workflows, and deliver structured pipeline reporting to leadership.
- AI Integration: Actively explore and pilot how emerging AI tools can improve recruitment effectiveness while strictly maintaining a human-centred candidate experience.
- Cross-Team Collaboration: Partner with the wider People Team on broader employer brand, early careers, and talent initiatives.
EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS REQUIRED
- Recruitment: A proven track record either from working in a recruitment agency or inhouse in advertising/marketing; running full-cycle tech recruitment pipelines at pace.
- Technical
Literacy: Confident speaking the language of engineering and systems; comfortable evaluating how a candidate’s experience (e. g., Backend, Frontend, UX, AI specialists, Java, Python, or Deltek) aligns with our tech stack.
- Stakeholder
Impact: Outstanding communication and influencing skills, with the ability to project credibility, build fast rapport, and deliver results alongside senior leadership.
- Systems Thinking: Advanced user of Linked In Recruiter and Applicant Tracking Systems (Greenhouse experience is highly desirable).
- Meticulous Execution: Highly organised with excellent attention to detail - from clean data reporting and file sorting to ensuring interviews are flawlessly formatted.
