VCare24 Ltd is a placement for vulnerable children aged 8-18 years old based within the East Riding of Yorkshire. We aim to provide a safe and secure environment and service for vulnerable children usually on a 2:1 basis (with a view to reduce 1:1 depending on each individual) in a dignified manner. We offer a bespoke person-centred service to our young people to meet each individual's requirements.
We have a team of managers with a wealth of experience from many residential setting backgrounds, allowing us to fully support our team of support workers and provide a comprehensive range of services which supports and encourages each individual to thrive. We have a team of support workers who are given full and in-depth training to allow us to offer the best possible service. We encourage and support the young people in our care to aspire to become and achieve their individual goals, to do this we work closely with outside agencies and professionals.
Support Worker Role
VCare24 Ltd are looking for a highly motivated and dedicated Support Worker to join our friendly yet professional team. Candidates must have a strong work ethic and a positive attitude to working within a team, be caring and compassionate with good communication skills. We are looking for someone who wants to make a difference to the lives of young people and provide the highest quality of care and support for individuals within our placements.
The selected candidate will preferably have a Level 3 Diploma or Equivalent in Children and Young Person’s Residential Settings. They must be reliable, self-motivated and well organised. Although experience is not essential, it is preferable. The selected candidate needs to be a positive, hardworking person. They should be available to work a shift pattern and, preferably, have previous experience working in Childcare and/or Mental Health. We are looking for someone with good communication skills and the ability to work well within a team.
We offer a 42-hour contract, paid holidays, a pension and other bonus schemes. There will be the opportunity to progress both with your own professional development and within the company with clear pathways to success. In addition to this, we work in partnership with another company which allows us to offer the opportunity to complete further vocational qualifications including the Diploma Level 3 (if you currently do not hold the required qualification).
Requirements
- All staff are required to attend a full in depth 10-day induction training programme during which time practical and theoretical work will be completed.
- All staff must hold a full, manual driving licence.
- A full enhanced DBS will be completed.
- All staff must hold, or be willing to work towards, Level 3 Diploma in Children and Young Person’s Residential Settings Pathway.
