Job Title: Veterinary Surgeon with Surgical Bias
Salary: From Β£60,000 per annum (Depending on Experience)

Job Type: Permanent
Hours: Full time equivalent of 40 hours per week consisting of 4 X 9 hour days per week plus 1 in 4 weekends. No nights. Part-time hours also considered.
Great Opportunity for an experienced Surgical Vet to join a hospital team in Cambridgeshire!
We are searching for an enthusiastic and confident surgically biased Vet to join our Tier-3 Cambridgeshire hospital. You would take the lead on an existing soft tissue and orthopaedic caseload including TTAs, lateral sutures, patella surgery, and basic fracture repairs with all the necessary equipment available. We are looking for a Veterinary Surgeon who is confident with routine, elective surgeries (including dentistry) and has an existing repertoire in orthopaedic surgeries to expand and grow the current surgical caseload in house.
What we can offer:
β We have two modern operating suites and have recently undergone a refurbishment at Huntingdon, making for a great working environment.
β We have a team of 23 vets including certificate holders in medicine, cardiology, emergency and critical care, ophthalmology, and diagnostic imaging. We are always keen to support professional development and certificates where possible.
β We provide a 24-hour service at the Huntingdon hospital with our own Twilight and Night team, ensuring excellent continuity of care. The position available is a daytime only role.
What we are looking for:
β The ideal candidate would undertake 2 surgical shifts per week and 2 consulting shifts per week, however part-time variations will also be considered.
β We have a team of experienced vets, two of whom are currently working towards surgical certificates, so willingness to help support and mentor would form an important part of the role.
β You will be joining a very welcoming team who all support each other. All of our associates are committed to the care of our clients and their pets, and we would love to hear from applicants who share the same values.

About us
Cromwell Vets is a busy 24-hour first opinion small animal hospital with 5 branch surgeries. Our practice has been caring for pets for over 100 years and we pride ourselves on providing gold standard veterinary medicine. Our tier 3 hospital has excellent facilities and equipment and hosts our dedicated out of hours service.
We have a fantastic, experienced and friendly clinical team with many certificate holders, and we support and encourage CPD (including certificate study). We have all the equipment available to enable full work up of cases in house β digital radiography, ultrasound (including echocardiography), video-endoscopy (gastroscope, bronchoscope and small rigid endoscopes), multi-parameter anaesthetic monitoring, tonometry, etc. We are an accredited gold ISFM friendly hospital with a calm and spacious cat ward. We are also very proud of The Cromwell ARC β a purpose-built physiotherapy and hydrotherapy unit with aquatic treadmill and K-Laser, based at the Sawtry branch.
