We’re seeking a Lead Veterinarian to partner with our Clinical Director in maintaining clinical excellence, supporting team growth, and driving the ongoing success of our thriving small animal practice. This is a rare opportunity to shape a progressive veterinary hospital from the ground up as we move into a brand‑new, purpose‑built facility.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and mentor the clinical team, including graduate vets, fostering a positive and supportive culture.
- Oversee the day‑to‑day clinical caseload and business operations, ensuring exceptional, bespoke, and affordable care.
- Contribute to strategic growth as part of the senior leadership team.
- Represent the clinic’s values and commitment to clinical excellence within the wider Linnaeus network.
- Collaborate with the Practice Manager on rota planning, team wellbeing, and operational movements.
- Drive clinical governance, ensuring compliance with practice protocols and high standards of care and client service.
- Interpret diagnostics, exercise clinical decision‑making, and provide informed guidance.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Certificate holder in small animal medicine and/or surgery (minimum requirement).
- Experience leading or mentoring colleagues in a veterinary setting.
- Strong clinical decision‑making abilities and diagnostic interpretation skills.
- Collaborative, calm, and able to thrive in a fast‑paced environment.
- Commitment to building team culture, supporting others, and leading with empathy and clarity.
