We are looking for a pro-active, friendly individual to welcome clients and their pets to the practice, provide telephone and administrative support, and assist the veterinary team in clinic operations.
Responsibilities
- Welcoming clients and their pets upon arrival
- Answering the phone in a polite, clear and empathetic manner
- Ensuring all enquiries are resolved efficiently
- Managing the diaries effectively and ensuring the smooth running of vet and nurse consults
- Assisting with administrative duties including answering email enquiries and online booking requests
- Debt management - ensuring payments are taken at the time and chasing any outstanding balances
- Occasional assisting the vet during consults with animal handling for bloods, euthanasia, and as a second pair of hands
Qualifications
- Valid driving licence required
- Ability to cover shifts across all Cromwell branches
- Strong administration and organisational skills
- Confident telephone manner
- Reception or client care experience
- Cash handling and till operation
- Previous experience of working in a veterinary/doctors surgery (desirable)
- IT skills - confident in the use of Word, Excel and Outlook as a minimum
