Davies Veterinary Specialists is recruiting a full‑time Client Finance Administrator who will report to the Finance Manager and support the day‑to‑day operations of our busy referral centre. The role requires working collaboratively with our client, patient and clinical teams and delivering accurate financial services with a high level of customer care.

Responsibilities

  • Reconciliation of daily takings.
  • Billing and finance support, covering sales, charges and payments.
  • Assessing and submitting insurance claims in a timely manner.
  • Reviewing accounts and clinical history to assist clients with direct claims.
  • Assisting clients with general finance and insurance queries, guiding policyholders on claim procedures and keeping them informed verbally and in writing.
  • Ensuring prompt and accurate payment of insurance shortfalls along with excesses and co‑payment liabilities.
  • Credit control for outstanding payments, insurance shortfalls and direct payments from insurers.
  • Telephone and face‑to‑face discussions with clients.

Qualifications

  • Veterinary or animal experience, or a strong interest in the industry, is desired.
  • Understanding of medical terminology (not essential).
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Strong organisational and multitasking abilities.

Employment Details

  • Full‑time, 40 hours per week.
  • Saturday work on a rota basis (approximately 1 in 6‑8 weeks).
  • Location: Hertfordshire/Bedfordshire, within 50 minutes of London by train.
