Village Vets Berkhamsted is a busy 2‐vet practice with a varied caseload, including exposure to exotics through a certificate holder. You will be part of a small, collaborative nursing team where your contribution is valued and your skills are fully utilised. This role offers a balance of routine and more complex cases, giving you the chance to develop without the pressure of a large referral environment.
Village Vets Berkhamsted is a well‐established small animal practice with strong links to the wider Village Vet network. You will work in a practice that values continuity of care, teamwork, and a practical, hands‐on approach to nursing.
The Role
- Support consultations and provide nurse‐led clinics
- Assist with surgical procedures and anaesthesia
- Deliver inpatient care and patient monitoring
- Carry out Schedule III procedures where appropriate
- Support client communication and patient follow‐up
- Maintain clinical standards and practice hygiene
This is a varied role suited to a nurse who enjoys being fully involved in both clinical and client‐facing aspects of practice.
Rota
Full‐time or part‐time hours considered, including Saturdays at Berkhamsted. Shared Sunday and emergency rota at St Albans. This structure gives you exposure to a broader caseload while maintaining a primarily day‐based role.
Team & Support
You will be working within a small, supportive nursing team, alongside experienced vets and with access to the wider resources of the Village Vet and Linnaeus network. The team environment is collaborative, with a focus on open communication, shared workload and ongoing development.
