Join our Night RVN team at Village Vet Hampstead as a proactive and dedicated Night Veterinary Nurse (RVN) working 5 nights on / 10 nights off on a rolling rota. The role is based in a well‑equipped 24‑hour emergency clinic serving North London.
Responsibilities
- Assign cases to nurses and provide support throughout your shifts, adopting a proactive, holistic approach to inpatient care under the guidance of the Veterinary Surgeon.
- Triage out‑of‑hours calls and visits, supporting the veterinary surgeon with appointments, treatments and procedures.
- Participate in nurse‑led patient handover from the night team to the day team, providing detailed clinical updates on all inpatients.
- Assist in cleaning and maintenance of all areas of the hospital together with the Patient Care Assistant Team.
- Engage in continued professional development, with opportunities to pursue extra studies supporting the emergency and critical care service.
Work Schedule
Rota: 5 nights on / 10 nights off rolling rota.
Requirements
- Registered Veterinary Nurse (RVN) with Tier2 or Tier3 qualification.
- Experience or willingness to work in a 24‑hour clinical environment.
- Strong communication skills and a commitment to patient care.
- Ability to work collaboratively with the clinical team and support continuity of care.
