Are you a passionate and dedicated Registered Veterinary Nurse looking for a varied and rewarding role? At Wicstun Vets, End Cottage, we’re looking for an enthusiastic RVN to join our friendly, fast-paced team and deliver exceptional care across all areas of our practice.
About the Role
This is an exciting opportunity to work across all disciplines within a busy veterinary clinic, including surgery, inpatient care, medicine, and nurse-led clinics. You’ll rotate through departments, gaining exposure to a diverse caseload while ensuring the highest standards of patient care.
You’ll play a key role in supporting the smooth flow of patients through the practice, working closely with vets, nurses, and client care teams to deliver outstanding service to both patients and their owners.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver gold-standard nursing care across all areas of the clinic
- Run and support nurse consultations and clinics
- Assist with anaesthesia, theatre practice, and medical procedures
- Provide inpatient care and support admissions and discharges
- Handle client communications, including callbacks and advice
- Support triage and patient flow throughout the day
- Maintain high standards of cleanliness, hygiene, and infection control
- Ensure accurate record keeping and pricing for treatments
- Collaborate with the wider team to ensure seamless patient care
- Assist with training and mentoring colleagues
- Participate in clinical development, research, and practice initiatives
About You
- Qualified Registered Veterinary Nurse (RVN)
- Experienced in anaesthesia, inpatient care, and nurse clinics
- Proactive, enthusiastic, and highly organised
- A strong team player with excellent communication skills
- Able to work in a fast-paced environment and use initiative
- Committed to delivering exceptional patient and client care
