Garston Veterinary Group is a thriving multi-site veterinary practice seeking an experienced veterinary leader. The role involves guiding clinical standards across a large and progressive group, leading a team of 24 veterinarians and 50+ nurses, and shaping the strategic direction of a forward-thinking veterinary group. The practice offers advanced facilities including a 24/7 RCVS-accredited hospital with an overnight night nurse team, modern theatres, laparoscopic kit, digital x-ray, ultrasound, laser therapy, an on-site laboratory and a CT scanner.

Responsibilities

  • Guide clinical standards across the practice.
  • Lead and manage a team of 24 veterinarians and 50+ nurses.
  • Shape the strategic direction of a well-established veterinary group.
  • Co-manage financial performance, budgets and key performance indicators.
  • Coach, mentor and develop clinical staff, fostering continuous improvement.
  • Coordinate with senior leadership and support the Garston Veterinary Group team.

Qualifications

  • Extensive clinical experience as an MRCVS with a minimum of 3+ years leading a practice or leadership in a multi-site practice.
  • Experience at managing a budget, delivering finance performance and KPIs.
  • Clinical leadership and experience in coaching and mentoring.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Leadership and line management of senior leadership team within the business unit.
  • Inspirational leadership, ability to lead teams with enthusiasm and act as a role model.
  • Resilience and adaptability, capable of leading teams through rapid change and high-pressure situations.
