V&C Associates has been exclusively retained to appoint a dynamic UK Sales Manager for a prestigious, market-leading luxury travel brand. In this high-profile role, you will be the face of the brand within the UK travel trade, driving commercial performance and expanding market presence. You will manage a diverse portfolio of key accounts, craft strategic growth plans, and represent the brand at major industry events and conferences. The company is looking for candidates with strong, existing contacts with national travel organisations.
Core Responsibilities
- Trade Sales Performance: Deliver and exceed ambitious sales targets by collaborating with an assigned portfolio of travel agent partners. You will develop bespoke strategies and marketing campaigns to identify high-potential clients and articulate the brand’s premium value proposition.
- Brand Ambassadorship: Actively elevate the brand’s profile across the UK market. You will educate agents on unique brand differentiators and leverage trade media and social channels to showcase successful initiatives and partnerships.
- Strategic Relationship Management: Cultivate deep, long-term relationships with key travel agencies to drive brand loyalty. Serve as the primary, expert point of contact for all inquiries, concerns, and strategic support.
- Sales Support & Education: Empower partners through exceptional sales support, including the delivery of high-impact product training, provision of promotional materials, and creation of educational resources.
- Network Expansion: Proactively identify and onboard new travel agencies to broaden the brand’s distribution network. Manage the strategic integration and onboarding process for new partners.
- Account Reactivation: Design and implement targeted strategies to re-engage "one-and-done" or dormant accounts, nurturing them back into consistent, long-term booking partners.
- Market Intelligence: Conduct ongoing market research and competitor analysis to uncover new revenue streams. Provide data-driven insights to marketing and product teams to help shape future offerings.
- Territory Analysis & Reporting: Regularly analyze market trends and regional travel dynamics to identify growth opportunities. Maintain precise records of activities and prepare detailed performance forecasts for senior leadership.
Requirements
- Experience: A minimum of 3 years of proven experience in travel industry sales, ideally within the luxury or ultra-luxury segment.
- Track Record: A documented history of consistently achieving or exceeding sales targets and building sustainable business relationships.
- Market Knowledge: Deep familiarity with the UK travel landscape, including established networks of luxury travel agencies and consortia.
- Communication: Outstanding presentation and interpersonal skills. You must be able to influence stakeholders and present complex luxury products with authority.
- Analytical Skills: A data-driven approach to decision-making, with the ability to translate market analysis into actionable sales strategies.
- Autonomy & Collaboration: The ability to work independently as a self-motivated remote leader while contributing effectively to a wider cross-functional team.
- Education: A Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or Hospitality is preferred but not essential.
