Key Responsibilities
- Design & Creative Development
- Conceptualize and develop original, trend‑driven swimwear designs for leading high‑street brands.
- Contribute to seasonal colour, fabric, and micro‑trend development, helping shape the creative direction of each collection.
- Transform ideas into compelling sketches, technical drawings, and digital renderings using design software such as Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop.
- Partner closely with account managers and offshore product development teams to finalise and deliver seasonal lines.
- Present concepts and collections to clients with clarity and commercial insight.
- Communicate effectively with colleagues, suppliers, and production teams across the UK, Europe, and the Far East.
- Curate and select fabrics, trims, and finishes that elevate the aesthetic and performance of swimwear ranges.
- Conduct material testing and quality assessments to ensure durability, comfort, and excellence.
- Produce precise tech packs and specification sheets, ensuring design intent is maintained from concept through production.
- Oversee and support offshore development teams, ensuring design consistency and accuracy to brief.
- Collaborate in fittings and prototype reviews to refine fit, comfort, and silhouette.
- Maintain high‑quality design execution and ensure all samples meet brand and production standards.
- Work in collaboration with QA teams to resolve development or production challenges promptly and effectively.
About You
- Degree in Fashion Design or a related field.
- Proven experience designing for high‑street or contemporary fashion brands.
- Strong understanding of consumer trends and the dynamics of the global fashion retail market.
- Technical expertise in generating tech packs and managing offshore sampling or production workflows.
