V&C Associates has been retained on an important search to identify an experienced Fashion Account Manager for our client's mens and womens fashion division, based at their Central London design studio. This is a commercially focused, client-facing role managing Italian-market accounts across womenswear and menswear — responsible for both growing existing business and developing new product ranges from inception through to delivery. The successful candidate will need to speak fluent Italian, written and spoken.

Key responsibilities:

  • Develop and launch new product ranges aligned to customer and commercial requirements.
  • Own the account relationship — serving as the primary client contact for Italian-market customers.
  • Prepare costings, negotiate selling prices and manage approval processes end to end.
  • Monitor and manage budgets across travel, samples, freight and development costs.
  • Evaluate market trends and drive development of new materials and components.
  • Compile clear design briefs and communicate effectively across internal and external stakeholders.
  • Coach and mentor junior team members; contribute to a positive team culture.
  • Travel to Italy as required for client, supplier and project meetings.

Candidate profile:

  • Strong background in fashion, ideally from a sourcing, buying and supply chain environment.
  • Proven track record managing complex projects from concept through to completion.
  • Excellent negotiation, costing and commercial acumen.
  • Confident communicator with strong stakeholder management skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Adaptable, detail-oriented and comfortable working both independently and as part of a team.
