Your mission:

  • Investment Process & Deal Flow: Manage the full investment process with high autonomy, from deal sourcing and valuation to due diligence, leading transactions and closing deals. Drive high-quality deal flow and secure top founders before competitors.
  • Portfolio Management & Value Creation: Act as an active board member, representing redalpine’s interests while driving impactful outcomes for portfolio companies. Champion the Portfolio Success Program and serve as a trusted advisor to founders on critical strategic decisions, fundraising, and scaling challenges.
  • Thought Leadership & Representation: Conduct research and analysis in key sectors like healthcare or life sciences to identify emerging trends and investment opportunities. Represent redalpine as a thought leader, promoting the firm’s expertise and attracting high-caliber startups to foster exclusive deal flow.
  • Industry & Network Expansion: Leverage and expand redalpine’s network to source top-tier deals and establish strategic partnerships with funds, investors, and industry leaders. Represent the firm at panels and industry events, driving LP engagement and supporting fundraising efforts to strengthen redalpine’s credibility.
  • Leadership & Collaboration: Mentor and manage investment team members, taking full responsibility for recruitment and development while fostering a growth-oriented environment. Collaborate closely with partners and teams to drive a high-performance culture, embodying redalpine’s values and serving as a role model.

Your profile:

  • Excellent academic track record: PhD or equivalent education in Medicine, Life Science (or a similar subject) from a top tier university.
  • Minimum 5 years of previous experience in investing, deal-making and portfolio management, with a proven track record in board-level activities.
  • A self-starter who has demonstrated an entrepreneurial mindset and achieved success in previous roles within relevant industry sectors.
  • Independent, proactive and determined, with the ability to thrive in challenging situations.
  • Creative in problem-solving and focused on delivering results.
  • Communicative, and a strong team player with leadership experience.
  • A quick learner who collaborates effectively across teams and provides strong guidance to juniors.
  • Strong organizational and structured analytical thinking skills, with the ability to establish and manage effective processes.
  • Passionate about working in a fast-paced, high-performance culture and always willing to go the extra mile.
  • Fluency in English; German proficiency is a plus.
