This position reports to the Head of Ventures.

Your role and responsibilities:

  • Investment evaluation and execution: Evaluate investment proposals and collaborate with relevant businesses to explore interest and strategic fit. Lead and supervise full due diligence of potential investments with special focus on financial valuations and business plan evaluations for technology companies. Oversee and coordinate legal documentation and final closing of various rounds of investments (including debt, equity, etc.).
  • Strategic collaboration and communication: Align investment themes and priorities to group and division strategy. Coordinate and secure a frequent dialogue with the businesses.
  • Portfolio management: Participate on boards of portfolio companies and guide their growth – including facilitating efficient collaboration with relevant divisions. Ensure the appropriate handling of the valuation of investments over time and quarterly reporting of portfolio companies. Secure and manage documentation of the portfolio companies.
  • External networking: Source deal flow via different channels, e.g. attending events and through VC network.

Qualifications for the role:

  • Relevant work experience required with direct investments, i.e., corporate venturing, financial venture/growth capital and Tech M&A.
  • Knowledge of Electrification industry and related technology portfolio of the divisions is a plus.
  • Bachelor's/Master's degree in Business or Engineering from a leading institution with top results; MBA is a plus.
  • Network in the venture capital ecosystem.
  • Strong expertise in financial modelling, valuations and business plan analysis – including experience in analysing growth business plans of start-ups.
  • Must have sound knowledge of commercial terms, legal peculiarities, complex business plans, and managing deals/projects.
  • Demonstrated leadership and team skills in cross-functional and cross-cultural teams.
  • Creative, energetic, self-motivated, flexible team player with an ability to work independently and solid analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Availability for travel.
