We are seeking a Portfolio Fundraising Lead to play a key role in strengthening the investor ecosystem around our ventures, managing our portfolio as they raise additional funding and supporting our venture partners.
Key Responsibilities
- Portfolio Fundraising & Customer Engagement
- Expanding and deepening the existing co-investor network, focusing on the pre-seed and seed specialised investors in health and environment across Europe and the US.
- Facilitate key connections between our startups, investors, and strategic partners to help secure first design partners, paying customers and investors.
- Portfolio Support
- Work closely with venture partners to prioritise high-potential ventures, ensuring they receive the necessary support for scaling.
- Lead portfolio reviews, board meetings, and investor updates to drive strategic alignment and fundraising success.
- Ecosystem Development
- Contribute to thought leadership by drafting insights, blogs, and hosting events on impact investing and venture trends.
- Represent the fund at pitch and investor events, and ecosystem gatherings.
- Engage with entrepreneurs, co-investors, accelerators, and industry experts to strengthen the fund’s network.
- Develop strategic partnerships with top-tier service providers and suppliers to offer ventures premium support, cost-saving benefits, and exclusive resources, including lab access, cloud credits, and IP support.
Ideal Candidate
- 4+ years of investment or operational experience in venture capital or startups, with a proven track record of commercial success.
- Established network of relevant co-investors to support our existing portfolio.
- Expertise in health (life sciences, medtech, healthcare) or environment (science/deep tech) sectors.
- Deep understanding of investment processes and fundraising strategies, with direct experience raising capital as a founder or investor.
- Strong business development or sales experience, with the ability to build and nurture new relationships.
- Proactive self-starter who can identify and act on opportunities to accelerate venture growth.
- Exceptional stakeholder management and relationship-building skills.
- Strong prioritisation skills, with the ability to navigate competing interests and optimise resource allocation.
- Passion for mission-driven innovation, technology and investing.
Time commitment
This is a full-time role, based in London. We support hybrid working, but with the expectation that you spend at least three days a week in the office. Applicants need to have the right to work in the UK.
