This role is an exciting opportunity to gain hands‑on experience in growth equity, work with a dynamic investment team, and contribute to sourcing, evaluating, and supporting high‑growth, transformative businesses.
Role Overview
We are looking for a highly motivated and intellectually curious person to join our investment team for a one-year placement. You are a self‑starter passionate about growth‑stage investing and climate‑tech. You will be involved in the investment process, gaining exposure to deal assessment, due diligence, and market research.
Key Responsibilities
- Investment Analysis & Due Diligence
- Assist in evaluating investment opportunities by reviewing investment materials and conducting market research, financial modelling, and competitor analysis.
- Support due diligence processes, including reviewing financial statements, business models, and competitive positioning.
- Help prepare investment memos and presentations for the investment committee.
- Market Research
- Conduct thematic deep dives to build investment theses in specific sub‑sectors and identify the most promising companies.
- Monitor emerging market trends and investment themes relevant to the fund’s focus.
What We’re Looking For
- At least 2 years’ prior experience in venture capital, private equity, consulting or investment banking.
- Strong analytical and research skills with the ability to assess business models, financials, and market dynamics.
- Familiarity with financial modelling, valuation techniques, and industry analysis.
- Interest in companies at the scale‑up stage and climate tech.
- Commercial mindset.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency in Excel/Google Sheets (financial modelling experience is a plus).
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently.
- Proactive and resourceful, with a willingness to take initiative.
