Forestay , an early-growth stage enterprise software and AI venture capital fund , seeks an exceptional investment professional for their London office. The role spans the full deal lifecycle (from sourcing, to investment, to exit) with ample opportunities for direct portfolio work. Reporting to Partner Deborah Pittet, you will collaborate with an investment team across London and Geneva.

What the job involves
Deal Origination & Sourcing
Execute targeted market research across sectors and geographies to help identify opportunities
Engage in proactive outreach to founders and co‑investors
Develop a network of industry relationships across the (enterprise) technology and investing ecosystem, and maintain comprehensive relationship database and interaction documentation
Identify strategic networking opportunities while representing Forestay in front of other funds, incubators, conferences and other equivalent networking opportunities
Support investment qualification through rigorous opportunity analysis and due diligence
Due Diligence
Develop financial models and scenario analyses to support investment decisions
Arrange and contribute to due diligence sessions on product, go‑to‑market, sector and other key diligence areas on investment opportunities
Create and refine compelling investment proposals and presentation materials to present to the investment committee
Portfolio Management
Establish and maintain regular communication channels with portfolio companies for performance monitoring
Develop and maintain performance analytics dashboards and Board materials for periodic reporting requirements
Contribute to strategic value creation initiatives for portfolio companies
Collaborate with CFO and management teams on budgetary planning and oversight
Requirements
2-5 years of relevant experience in private equity, venture capital, investment banking, or strategy consulting (startup or scale‑up experience, or experience working with early to growth stage companies is a bonus)
Demonstrable transaction experience across multiple stages of the investment lifecycle
Superior financial modelling and valuation skills, with advanced proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and data analysis tools
Exceptional analytical and critical thinking abilities
Outstanding written and verbal communication skills
Ability to manage multiple workstreams simultaneously under time constraints
Self‑starter with entrepreneurial mindset and ability to work independently
Commitment to continuous learning in a rapidly evolving sector
