As the firm continues to grow, they are looking to recruit a Conveyancing Fee Earner to join their busy and friendly conveyancing team. Key Responsibilities As a Conveyancing Fee Earner, you will play an essential role in managing residential property transactions from start to finish. Your key duties will include: Managing a caseload of conveyancing files, including sales, purchases, and remortgages. Handling new client instructions, conducting due diligence, and ensuring all compliance and regulatory standards are met. Acting as a main point of contact for clients, estate agents, mortgage lenders, and other parties, providing updates and answering queries. Drafting legal correspondence and documents, including contracts, transfer deeds, Land Registry applications, and SDLT returns. Conducting essential property searches (local authority, Land Registry, environmental) and advising the client on findings. Overseeing post-completion tasks, such as title registration with HM Land Registry and processing Stamp Duty payments. Ensuring the conveyancing case management system is updated with accurate data and tracking all key milestones. Delivering exceptional client service through regular communication via phone and email. Supporting general administrative tasks such as filing, scanning, and managing correspondence. Key Skills and Experience Required Previous experience in a conveyancing or property law setting is highly desirable. Strong organisational skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritise effectively in a busy environment. Keen attention to detail and accuracy when preparing legal documents and maintaining client files. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with confidence in liaising with clients and third parties. Experience using case management systems and proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook). A proactive approach with the ability to work independently and contribute effectively within a team. Knowledge of the conveyancing process and key property law principles.
