Role Summary:
We are seeking a talented Senior Associate to join the investment team. This individual will play a pivotal role in sourcing and evaluating new investment opportunities, conducting due diligence, supporting portfolio companies, and contributing to the overall investment strategy. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, a deep understanding of the startup ecosystem, and a proactive, entrepreneurial mindset.
Responsibilities:
- Deal Sourcing: Identify and assess potential investment opportunities, build relationships with founders, and actively participate in industry networking.
- Due Diligence: Conduct detailed market research, financial analysis, and competitive assessments to support investment decisions.
- Investment Strategy: Collaborate with partners to develop and refine the fund’s investment thesis and identify trends and emerging sectors.
- Portfolio Support: Work closely with portfolio companies, providing strategic and operational support, and connecting them with resources to drive growth.
- Market Analysis: Stay updated on industry trends, investment opportunities, and market dynamics to inform our investment approach.
- Fundraising & Investor Relations: Assist in preparing materials for investor relations and fundraising activities, and participate in managing key stakeholder relationships.
Qualifications:
- Experience: 2-4 years of experience in venture capital in addition to 2-4 years in investment banking, strategy consulting or startups.
- Analytical Skills: Strong financial modeling skills and the ability to conduct rigorous due diligence.
- Industry Knowledge: Deep understanding of the startup ecosystem, technology, and emerging market trends.
- Relationship Building: Proven track record of building relationships with founders, investors, and other industry professionals.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree required; MBA or other relevant advanced degree preferred.
