Are you an enthusiastic, motivated, and caring individual with a passion for delivering exceptional customer service? We are seeking a Veterinary Receptionist to join our busy and supportive team, providing gold-standard care to our valued clients and their pets. This role is mainly based at our Witham branch, with shifts across other branches as required. The position will involve a mixture of shifts, including late shifts.
About the Role
As a Veterinary Receptionist, you’ll be the welcoming face of our practice, greeting clients and their pets with empathy and professionalism.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Managing busy telephone lines and scheduling appointments
- Handling email correspondence and client queries with care
- Processing payments, managing stock, and assisting with account and insurance queries
- Ensuring the practice remains clean, organised, and well-stocked
- Providing administrative support and occasionally assisting the clinical team with animal handling during consultations (non-clinical tasks)
What We’re Looking For
We are seeking someone with proven customer service experience (experience in a veterinary or medical setting is a bonus, but not essential).
You will have:
- A passion for client care and strong communication skills
- Excellent IT proficiency (Excel, Word, Outlook)
- Strong organisational skills, attention to detail, and a proactive attitude
- Flexibility to work across multiple branches and varied shifts
Full training will be provided on-site, making this a fantastic opportunity to build your skills and knowledge in a supportive environment.
This is a part-time permanent role working 24 hours per week. There will be varied shifts from 7:45am/8:00am - 2:00pm or 2:15pm-7:15pm. There will be mainly later shifts required so we need the candidate to be flexible. There will also be a Saturday rota from 8:00am-2:00pm.
