Veterinary Referral Clinician – Anaesthesia – Part Time (12 month FTC)
We are looking for an experienced Anaesthetist to join our anaesthesia service at Blaise Referrals. This is a fixed-term maternity cover position. Applicants may be Specialists (Diplomate of the European or American Colleges), residency-trained, or hold a CertAVP in Veterinary Anaesthesia.
The anaesthesia team will play a central role in our multidisciplinary hospital, working closely with colleagues in ECC, Surgery, Imaging, Internal Medicine and other referral disciplines to provide outstanding care to our patients. You will be supported by our Clinical Director, the wider Blaise leadership team, and the extensive IVC Evidensia referral network.
You will assist in the development of a collaborative, open culture within your discipline and across the wider hospital, helping to shape the anaesthesia service.
Contract & Hours
Fixed-term contract (maternity cover)
Part-time: Monday to Wednesday (10-hour days, 30 hours per week)

Blaise is a large-scale, multi-disciplinary referral hospital which encompasses the culture and high clinical standards IVC Evidensia prides itself upon. Blaise has added to IVC’s extensive referral network, which now consists of over 100 referral sites across the UK & Ireland. This is the first hospital in our group that we have built from the ground up – creating a unique opportunity to be part of something special from the very beginning.
The hospital is one of the largest in the UK at over 36,000 sq ft, with the capacity to treat up to 10,000 pets per year. From the site we provide specialist-led multi-discipline veterinary referrals and a Vets Now emergency service. The site has easy access from the A38 through Longbridge and is part of the West Longbridge regeneration project.

MRCVS or eligible
Diplomate (ECVAA/ACVAA), residency-trained, or CertAVP (Anaesthesia)
