Our fantastic team at Vale Vets and Referrals are seeking a friendly and client focused receptionist to join our hospital in Dursley! As a receptionist, you'll be a key part of the team, helping the practice run smoothly, offering excellent customer care to both our first opinion and referral clients. You'll be the first point of contact where your main responsibilities will involve:

  • Meeting all visitors
  • Answering telephone calls
  • Registering new clients
  • Organising diaries
  • Checking client and patient details
  • Taking payments
  • Handling insurance claims
  • Dispensing medication
  • Cleaning
  • Various administrative tasks

About the rota: This part-time role is a fixed-term contract for 6 months. The shifts are as follows:

  • Monday 1:30pm - 7:30pm
  • Tuesday 1:30pm to 5pm
  • Thursday 2:30pm to 7:30pm
  • Friday 5pm to 7:30pm
  • Saturday (1 in 5) from 8:30am to 12:30pm

We will provide you with full training; however, experience of working in the veterinary industry or in a customer service role would be an advantage.

We are a one site hospital that offers both first opinion care and you'll be working alongside 10 First Opinion Clinicians, 8 Referral Vets, around 30 Nursing Staff and 10 receptionists.
