Here at Sussex Coast Vets, we are seeking a friendly, approachable Veterinary Receptionist to join our team. This is an amazing opportunity to join our fantastic team, with the chance to work at our St Leonards-on-Sea practice as well as our sister practice, 1066 Veterinary Centre.
What you will be doing
- Providing a warm and professional welcome to clients and their pets
- Managing reception duties, including phone calls, appointments, and inquiries
- Cuddling pets β an essential part of the job
- Processing insurance claims and pet health club memberships
- Keeping records accurate and organised
- Assisting the veterinary team and handling admin tasks away from the desk
- Staying calm and compassionate in high-pressure situations

We are a very kind, friendly and fun team that offers our clients and patients the highest standard of care. Across our 3 sites, our 3 vets offer a wealth of experience, including an orthopaedic surgeon. They are supported by our fantastic team of 6 dedicated Nurses, plus 5 FTE Receptionists.
We have a supportive and encouraging culture here at Sussex Coast, where we truly value our team and what each individual brings to our practice. We hold regular team meetings where we have an open culture for ideas and thoughts to be shared amongst the team.
You will be working 40 hours per week, either 4 x 10-hour shifts or 5 x 8-hour shifts. You will also be required to work 1:4 Saturdays, with hours taken from your weekly schedule.
