We are seeking an organised, personable Receptionist to join our team at New Priory on a part-timebasis.
This is a great location in the vibrant seaside town of Brighton and Hove. Our Brighton Clinic is based within our flagship hospital in central Brighton. The clinic provides a comprehensive range of general practice veterinary services including medicine, surgery, radiography, ultrasound and dentistry along with the support of nursing clinics – all bolstered by excellent hospital facilities.
How You’ll Make a Difference
As a Receptionist, you will be the first point of contact for clients, playing a key role in delivering a welcoming, professional and compassionate experience at every interaction.
You’ll support the smooth running of the practice by managing appointments, handling enquiries, supporting client communications and working closely with clinical and non-clinical colleagues to ensure a positive client and patient journey.
Working Pattern
This is a part-time permanent role working 21 hours per week with weekend & bank holidays included - Hours will include x2 5.75hr shifts Mon-Fri & Saturday or Sunday 8-6.
Key Responsibilities
- To be the first line contact for clients and their pet's within our practice's and via telephone
- Triage emergencies & provide advice
- Relay all messages taken accurately & act in a timely manner
- Act in a courteous and professional manner at all times.
- Welcome and register clients on arrival, make appointments.
- Dispense medicines as directed by our Vet's.
- Take payments and cash up.
- Social Media content management
- Complete referrals and other administration tasks
