Here at Usk Veterinary Centre, we are looking for an enthusiastic, reliable person to join our close-knit team. You will be our client's first point of contact, so a professional, courteous manner is essential. This role is based across both our Usk and Caerleon surgeries.
Responsibilities:
- Greet customers professionally and handle telephone inquiries promptly.
- Manage appointment scheduling, including booking, cancelling, and rearranging.
- Record, pass on, and follow up on enquiries.
- Process payments, including PDQ machine usage, and allocate them on the system.
- Promote services, manage debt control, and cash up daily.
- Maintain a clean reception area and process clinic emails.
- Attend team meetings regularly.
- Be part of delivering veterinary excellence.
We are a two-site, small animal practice in the heart of Monmouthshire, and our branch surgery is within a ten-minute drive away. Our Practice is set a stone's throw away from the Monmouthshire River, which our staff and their dogs enjoy at lunchtime. We are a five-minute walking distance from Usk Town and situated within the Brecon Beacons. The area offers an abundance for you to do in your downtime away from work. Cardiff and Bristol are both within a 45-minute drive.
We have our laboratory for in-house use, a DR X-ray machine with SignalPet Use, a dental X-ray and a separate Dental theatre along with our prep rooms and main Theatre, an Ultrasound machine, endoscopy and Walk-In Kennels. Working as part of a team of 10 reception staff, alongside 7 Vets and 9 Nurses, you will be an integral part of offering our clients the high level of service the practice is proud to provide.
Working pattern:
This is a part-time role working 22 hours per week, working one full day shift and two 1 pm - 7 pm shifts per week, along with a share in the Saturday morning rota.
