We are looking for a friendly and approachable Veterinary Receptionist to join our team at Oaks Vet Centre. The ideal candidate will have a passion for animals and experience in customer service and administrative tasks. We are looking for someone with excellent communication skills both verbal and written, strong organisational skills, attention to details, the ability to multi-task in a very fast-paced environment and proficiency in computer skills.
The role will be based between our Saltcoats, Largs and Dundonald branches, working 40 hours per week over 4 days. A share of the weekend rota is also included. The role may involve some animal handling in our Dundonald branch, full training will be given. A full clean, manual driving licence is required for transportation of patients using the practice vehicle. An immediate start is possible.
Duties will include:
- General reception duties which includes greeting clients and their pets as they arrive at the practice.
- Customer care is important to us and we want our clients to feel comfortable and relaxed.
- Triage emergency phone calls
- Scheduling appointments
- Dispensing medications
- Processing payments/banking
- Dealing with outstanding accounts
- Maintain cleanliness of reception, consult rooms and communal areas

We all pride ourselves on providing the highest level of patient care and customer service. We have a reception team of 11 working over 3 practices in Ayrshire, Saltcoats, Largs and Dundonald.
