Lead a Proudly Established Practice Across Five Thriving Sites
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Director of Practice to lead the team at Chapelfield Vets – a well-established, multi-site veterinary practice based in and around Norwich. With four small animal practices and a busy equine hospital, this is a chance to take on a pivotal leadership role where you’ll shape culture, drive performance, and support clinical excellence every step of the way.
Role Overview
As Director of Practice, you’ll be responsible for the operational and commercial performance of all five Chapelfield sites. Working closely with your experienced leadership, clinical and support teams, you’ll ensure delivery of exceptional care, a brilliant client experience, and a supportive and high-performing working culture.
You’ll be accountable for the strategic and day-to-day running of the practice, from financial management to rota oversight, HR matters, IVC Evidensia programme delivery, and on-the-ground support for your people.
This is a hands-on leadership role, perfect for someone who’s motivated by challenge, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and knows how to bring people together to achieve results.
Work Schedule
- 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday
- Based across our five practice locations, including the small animal sites and equine hospital

We’re searching for a confident, driven leader who can balance strategic oversight with operational detail. Ideally, you’ll come from a veterinary background or have experience in a healthcare setting, but above all, you’ll need to demonstrate:
- Proven leadership experience in a multi-site or complex environment
- Strong organisational and communication skills
- High emotional intelligence and the ability to build trust quickly
- A results-driven approach and sound commercial acumen
- Willingness to get stuck in and support teams directly when needed
- An understanding of the veterinary industry is advantageous, but not essential
