Weβre excited to offer an excellent opportunity for a proactive and enthusiastic Registered Veterinary Nurse to join our friendly team at Paws Colchester. This is a part-time, fixed term maternity cover role, working 30 hours per week (Monday, Tuesday, Friday 08:15 - 18:30) and 1 in 4 Saturday mornings, with no out-of-hours duties.
About us
Paws is a small, friendly first opinion practice based in Colchester. Our team consists of three vets, five nurses, and three receptionists. Weβre conveniently located near the town centre and just a short drive from Mersea Island. We have everything we need to be an independent first opinion practice and will always consider investment in new equipment and further education to support future development of our staff and business. Our facilities include Digital X-Ray, Ultrasound, Multi-Parameter Monitor, in-house laboratory equipment.
What we are looking for
We are seeking an enthusiastic and reliable Registered Veterinary Nurse who is a strong team player with excellent communication and client care skills. The successful candidate will be confident in delivering high standards of patient care and maintaining excellent hygiene. Key responsibilities will include clinical nursing duties such as inpatient care, theatre support, nurse consultations, and assisting the veterinary surgeons.
