Vaxx Bakery & Specialty Coffee is looking for an experienced, passionate and energetic Head Barista to join our team in Battersea. We’re looking for someone who genuinely loves specialty coffee, has strong barista experience and can confidently lead by example while maintaining excellent standards throughout every service. You’ll be responsible for delivering consistently great coffee, supporting and training the barista team, maintaining workflow behind the bar and helping create the warm, friendly atmosphere we want every customer to experience at Vaxx.
What we’re looking for:
- Strong experience working with specialty coffee.
- Excellent espresso preparation and milk-texturing skills.
- Confident and consistent latte art skills.
- Good knowledge of dialing in, extraction and maintaining coffee quality throughout the day.
- Experience leading, supporting and training other baristas.
- Friendly, bubbly and confident personality.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Reliable, punctual and responsible.
- Comfortable working in a busy, fast-paced environment.
- Proactive, organised and happy to support the wider café operation when needed.
- Fully flexible, including weekends and early starts.
- Ideally based locally in Battersea or able to travel reliably for shifts.
We’re looking for someone who takes real pride in their coffee, enjoys developing a team and understands that great specialty coffee is just as much about hospitality and consistency as it is about the cup.
