We are seeking a Mechanical Engineer (NPD) to design robust, manufacturable mechanical solutions for our floorcare products.
The role involves collaborating with global engineering teams, developing schedules, and driving product performance and innovation.
Responsibilities
- Drive product performance expected of the brand, identifying and challenging design gaps with limited direction.
- Deliver on project goals with minimal oversight, considering all details of the design and their effects on the project.
- Present technical information to cross‑functional teams and drive clear communication with support groups and PRC.
- Proactively alert stakeholders to obstacles and roadblocks, bringing potential solutions to the table.
- Deliver product innovation and apply root‑cause problem solving towards creative solutions.
Requirements
- Proficient in tolerance stack‑ups and CAD modelling of complex parts and assemblies.
- Capable in FEA, mathematical analysis of mechanisms, and failure analysis.
- Good understanding of materials, heat treatments, and manufacturing processes.
- Able to apply appropriate drawing specifications for function and manufacturing.
- Growing knowledge of the overall NPD process and project scheduling (WBS).
