Strive Group UK are looking to appoint a Head of Football to oversee it’s Strive Performance element of the business, heading up the goalkeeper coaching and outfield provision that we offer.

This role is a hybrid role, with flexible hours, based in Ellesmere Port, England. To begin with, this role will be 5-10 hours per week, with pathway to full time work.

Strive Group is a rebranded group, where three companies have joined forces to generate one larger group - which is broken down into Strive Performance, Strive Media and Strive Events.

Strive Media is one of the biggest media and marketing organisations in the North West, with plenty of resources to boost the other sides of the business.

Strive Events is a new part of the company, starting out with inflatable football pitch hire in line with the FA Future Fit Format.

Strive Performance, the area of the business that this role is for, is the biggest goalkeeper coaching company in the area, formerly the Goalkeeper’s Union.

With it’s own private facility in Ellesmere Port, the aim of Strive Performance is to create an outfield provision which matches the size of the goalkeeping provision, whilst also growing that part of the business.

Role Overview

Strive Performance is looking for an ambitious and motivated Head of Football to lead and develop our football programmes.

This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in shaping the future of our established goalkeeper performance centre while driving the growth of our outfield coaching provision.

This is a part-time position to begin with, offering 5–10 hours per week, with the opportunity to progress into a full-time leadership role as the business continues to expand.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee the day-to-day operations and continued development of our established Goalkeeper Performance Centre.
  • Lead the growth and expansion of our outfield coaching programme.
  • Manage coach scheduling, staffing and operational planning.
  • Monitor programme finances and support budget management.
  • Plan, organise and oversee football events, including Goalie Wars, Half-Term Camps and other football initiatives.
  • Work closely with the marketing team to promote programmes, events and services effectively.
  • Attend weekly meetings and provide updates and strategic feedback to the Strive.
  • Support the continued growth and high standards of Strive Performance across all football programmes.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience working in football.
  • UEFA C Licence (or higher).
  • Full UK driving licence.
  • Enhanced DBS certificate (or willingness to obtain one).
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills.
  • Experience working within a 1-to-1 football coaching business.
  • Experience coaching children and young people.

Salary will be dependant on experience and will be paid monthly, with a base salary followed by a percentage of profits via commission.
