Job Purpose:
We are undertaking a large transformation programme and seek a Business Intelligence (BI) Developer to design, build, deploy and maintain high‑quality BI solutions that support business stakeholders and align with our development standards. The role includes first‑line support, continuous improvement and knowledge sharing.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the design and build of BI solutions, including development, deployment and maintenance.
- Maintain the data analytics platform and support data‑analytics initiatives.
- Create and maintain technical documentation.
- Translate business requirements into technical specifications.
- Collaborate with the Data Team to develop end‑to‑end best practices.
- Provide 3rd line support for high‑priority BI incidents.
- Conduct troubleshooting and testing of BI systems.
- Build and maintain the data warehouse infrastructure, ensuring scalability, performance and reliability.
- Optimize queries, data models and ETL processes to improve performance and reduce processing time.
- Turn innovative ideas into effective solutions and stay current with emerging BI and data‑analytics trends.
Knowledge, Skills and Experience Required:
- Excellent SQL skills.
- Experience with Microsoft BI and Power BI, including creating, developing and modifying dashboards.
- Strong knowledge of data warehousing and large‑dataset data modelling.
- Problem‑solving ability and a drive to continuously improve processes.
- Confidence in presenting ideas to teams and executive stakeholders.
- Good knowledge of data governance, data protection and GDPR.
- Organisational skills and proficiency with Azure DevOps or JIRA (desirable).
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills at the executive level.
- Experience managing multiple priorities and evolving data technology stacks and practices.

- Agile development practices within a delivery squad/cell.
- Proficiency with Jira, Azure DevOps or similar agile project management software.
- Experience with Git‑based version control systems.
