Job Purpose

The Test Analyst will collaborate with the Applications Test Team to plan and execute testing of software, ensuring compliance with guidelines and standards. Responsibilities include functional, integration, and performance testing, as well as supporting robust and high-quality solutions for end users.

Main Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute test plans and scripts for applications, databases, and infrastructure builds.
  • Prepare and present test documentation for quality reviews.
  • Provide time and effort estimates for testing activities.
  • Assess and mitigate risks associated with testing strategies and project timelines.
  • Record and report results in a clear and detailed format.
  • Investigate defects, risks, identify root causes, and work with developers to resolve issues.
  • Collaborate with business analysts and system designers to align testing with requirements.
  • Ensure testing follows business policies and objectives and proactively improve the quality of support.
  • Continuously improve testing processes and identify efficiency opportunities.
  • Assist the service desk and system developers in the investigation of support calls.

Essential Knowledge, Skills and Experience Needed for the Job

  • ISEB-qualified.
  • Experience in software testing, including test management tools and frameworks.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work independently or in a team, sometimes in a pressured environment.
  • Experience with SQL, Windows environments, and Agile methodologies.
  • A good appreciation of Quality Control.
  • Experience with JIRA/Postman.
  • Experienced at testing end user focused web and/or rich client applications.

Desirable

  • Experience with automation tools.
  • Familiarity with business change processes and stakeholder communication.
  • Ability to solve problems in a measured, creative way and deliver results under pressure.
  • Familiar with general IT related competencies (infrastructure or applications).
  • Dedication to quality and meticulous approach.
