Hours: Monday to Friday 09:00 - 17:00 - 35 hours per week

Location: Hybrid role - mix of remote and office based working. 104 Dalton Ave, Birchwood, Warrington, WA3 6YF

Grade: CM40 12 months maternity cover

Job Purpose

This role is responsible for ensuring the effective operation, governance, and continuous improvement of HR systems, reward processes, and people data analytics. Managing and overseeing the HR & Payroll and Reward & Recognition systems, the HR Systems & Data Manager will realise the current and future benefits of the system, identify change management opportunities, training needs, as well as supporting upgrades and new functionality, identifying opportunities to streamline the system to benefit the business. Additionally, this role will ensure accurate data and MI is provided when necessary to the business alongside the management of the annual pay and bonus cycles.

Main Responsibilities

  • Plan and execute system enhancements and upgrades, actively managing the HR systems plan and roadmap factoring in other business activity and deadlines.
  • Lead and coordinate the annual pay and bonus calibration process, ensuring alignment with budget, accuracy of data, and correct processing within Workday.
  • Oversee system governance activities including audits, risk reviews, and procurement requirements.
  • Maintain regular communication with external system partners.
  • Ensure accuracy and completeness of people data in Workday, building and maintaining reports to support organisational design and strategic initiatives.
  • Provide monthly MI packs and ensure data is delivered accurately and on schedule when requested.
  • Respond to and complete Subject Access Requests (SARs) in accordance with GDPR requirements.
  • Actively participate in HR and organisational projects, supporting change initiatives and transformation activity.
  • Enhance diversity and inclusion through HR systems by promoting data completeness, enabling inclusive processes, and improving accessibility.
  • Provide ongoing advice and support to ensure that levels of knowledge, competence and confidence within the HR teams are continually developed and enhanced.
  • Be proactive in the development and improvement of HR process and systems by working with Payroll.
  • Provide continuous simplification of processes and enhance technical capability within HR through automation and increased efficiencies.
  • Responsibility for system data integrity and ensure accuracy and alignment of HR data through regular and scheduled data cleanse activities.

Knowledge, Skills and Experience required

  • Strong experience working with HRIS platforms, ideally Workday.
  • Understanding of workflows and the basis of this within HR System.
  • Data production and reporting.
  • High level of Microsoft Excel experience.
  • High level of data literacy with experience producing and interpreting HR analytics and MI reports.
  • Knowledge of GDPR.
  • Understanding of reward cycles and processes.
