Percival are excited to be working exclusively with Vault Youth Zone who are recruiting a new Philanthropy Manager to join their new team! This is an incredibly exciting time to join Vault as they prepare to open their doors to young people in late 2025, offering Preston’s youth the opportunities and support they truly deserve. The state-of-the-art Youth Zone will provide young people aged 8 to 19 with a wide range of activities: from football, boxing, and climbing, to creative arts, music, drama, and employability training.
Vault Youth Zone is part of a growing network of Youth Zones across the UK, supported by the national charity OnSide. This is a pivotal role focused on securing and nurturing high-value philanthropic support to establish a strong financial foundation for the charity in its crucial early years.
Location: Preston, Lancashire (onsite role, based in their temporary offices in the city centre until open)
Salary: £35,000-£43,000
Contract: Permanent, full-time
Reports to: Head of Fundraising and Communications
About the Role
The new Philanthropy Manager will play a key role in kick starting the Founder Patron campaign: engaging local individuals and businesses to commit £25,000+ annually for a minimum of four years. This support will form the cornerstone of Vault Youth Zone’s financial foundation during its critical early phase. Working closely with the Head of Fundraising and Communications, you'll contribute to delivering a £1.4 million+ fundraising target, directly shaping the future of youth services in Preston. Through exceptional relationship management, you’ll ensure the continued engagement and retention of existing Patrons, while actively identifying and cultivating new high-value supporters.
To succeed in this role, you will need to:
- Have a proven track record of securing five-figures in income
- Be a confident self-starter to pitch to supporters at a high level.
- Be an excellent communicator with the ability to inspire individuals, businesses, and the wider community
- Have demonstrable experience of hitting and exceeding KPIs, either from within or outside the sector.
- Bring knowledge of stewardship and donor journeys, and apply best practices in relationship management
- Be aligned with Vault’s mission to transform young lives through opportunity, support, and aspiration
