Are you the right person for the job?

  • Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying or a relevant construction discipline
  • Proven experience in a Quantity Surveying role within the UK construction industry
  • Experience leading, managing, or mentoring QS teams
  • Strong commercial and contractual understanding (NEC and JCT)
  • Excellent negotiation, analytical, and communication skills
  • Proactive, organised, and confident working on fast‐paced, technically complex projects
  • Able to influence both internal and external stakeholders at a senior level

What will your role look like?

  • Lead and manage the commercial aspects of multiple M&E projects from tender through to final account
  • Provide commercial leadership, guidance, and mentoring to a team of Quantity Surveyors
  • Oversee cost planning, financial tracking, value engineering, and risk management
  • Prepare, negotiate, and agree valuations, variations, and contractual claims
  • Work closely with operations, engineering, procurement, and finance teams
  • Manage subcontractor procurement, assessment, and payment processes
  • Produce accurate forecasts, margin reports, and commercial updates for senior leadership
  • Drive continuous improvement of commercial processes and systems
  • Support client relationship management and contribute to strategic business development
