We are looking for a Project Manager / Senior Project Manager with knowledge in Medium and High Voltage for O&M Projects within Integrated Operation and our Business Unit Offshore Wind. The Project Manager for O&M Projects focuses on our Fast Response Plan for HV Transmission systems and related projects, and also leads O&M Projects / Special Projects of varying complexity and size. The purpose of the projects is to ensure continued and potentially improved operation of our offshore wind asset and to minimize business disruptions in case of unforeseen events. The project manager ensures safe project delivery within quality, time, and budget, and collaborates with the project management team to prepare the organization and processes for execution of Fast Response Projects covering HV transmission systems or other vital components. The tasks will be diverse and cover all parts of our offshore wind asset including but not limited to:

  • Repair and replacement campaigns of various sizes of HV infrastructure such as export and inter-array cables, switchgears, transformers and other HV components.
  • Larger replacement and repair campaigns (electrical or mechanical) on foundations, wind turbines and OSS above and below water.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare – As part of ongoing department work and in collaboration with the rest of the team, you are expected to:
    • Take the lead on continuously developing and improving the Fast Response Plan for our HV transmission systems and participate in developing and improving the department\’s processes and tools.
    • Continuously seek improvements across the business for preparedness and reducing the impact of major breakdowns, including review of strategic spare parts.
    • Coach, support, and guide colleagues to ensure a learning organization.
  • Execute – Once a project is identified, lead the project from early identification to final project closure, including:
    • Ensure project delivery within quality, scope, budget, and time with safety as the first priority.
    • Obtain relevant steerCo approvals.
    • Set up the project organization and request internal and external resources.
    • Report key KPIs such as progress, cost, risks, and health and safety.
    • Coach, support, and guide project team members.
    • Ensure the right solution is implemented benefiting all stakeholders.
    • If tendering is part of the project, support the procurement process regarding technical content and align with commercial support on contractual topics.
    • Be present on offshore site during execution as required.
  • Closure – Capture lessons learned and disseminate them across the organization; ensure as-built records are stored correctly and all punch list items are closed.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor or Master’s degree in electrical engineering or similar.
  • 5 years of experience with HV installations.
  • IPMA C / B certified (or willing/able to obtain it).
  • 8 years of total work experience.
  • 3 or 5 years of project management experience (depending on PM level) with 3 years managing multidisciplinary/complex projects for Senior PM consideration.
  • 5 years of experience in the offshore industry.
  • Contract understanding and experience with contract negotiations.
  • Excellent command of the English language, both spoken and written.

Desirable / Personal attributes

  • Experience from offshore wind farm construction and understanding of interdisciplinary dependencies across wind farm components.
  • Experience offshore and understanding of the offshore working environment.
  • Experience with risk management, contract and commercial management, tendering, and contract negotiations.
  • High degree of self-motivation, ability to work independently, and strong interpersonal skills.
  • Structured, organized, and able to prioritize; a natural leader who engages people, asks questions, shares knowledge, and helps others.
  • Proactive, able to simplify complexity, and capable of working in international and diverse environments.
  • Flexible attitude toward tasks, working hours, and travel; commitment to safety and quality in a fast-paced environment.
