We now want to make fossil-free living possible within one generation.
Are you ready to shape the financial future of renewable energy and drive progress towards fossil freedom? At Vattenfall, we are taking steps to become less dependent on fossil fuels, and our BA Wind business unit is at the forefront of this transition. As a Senior Manager Offtake & Revenue Solutions in our Offshore Wind department, you will play a key role in supporting strategic growth and maximising value from offshore wind assets.
If you thrive on tackling complex challenges and want your expertise to contribute directly to one of the most important missions of our time, we should talk. Join us and help power a more sustainable tomorrow with your ambition and insight.
In this role, you will play a pivotal part in shaping the commercial success of our offshore wind projects. Working as part of a multi-disciplinary and multi-cultural team, you will take ownership of revenue strategies that support Vattenfall's commitment to a fossil free future. You will bring structure and insight to every stage of the project lifecycle, from early concept through to operations.
Your main responsibilities include:
- Leading the development and execution of power offtake strategies for offshore wind assets
- Structuring long-term agreements such as Power Purchase Agreements (PPAs) to optimise revenue streams
- Analysing market opportunities, evaluating different revenue options, and presenting your recommendations clearly to internal decision makers
- Drafting management presentations and preparing governance materials with precision, ensuring all stakeholders are well informed
- Managing relationships with colleagues in Origination, Valuation, Transaction, Batteries, Finance, Legal, Strategy and Customers teams as well as external partners to ensure alignment on key deliverables
Your work is essential for maximising value creation across our renewable portfolio. Success means you consistently deliver robust commercial solutions that withstand scrutiny while supporting Vattenfall's ambition for sustainable growth. You thrive in fast-paced environments and bring a strategic mindset to every challenge.
With a degree in Finance, Economics or a similar field, you have built up 5-10 years of hands-on experience in the power markets industry, ideally within renewables. Your knowledge of European electricity markets is deep and current, enabling you to assess commercial opportunities with clarity.
To succeed in this role, you should be confident navigating Power Purchase Agreements (PPAs) and other commercial agreements or transactions – whether from corporate, financial, legal or technical advisory perspectives. You understand how to translate complex corporate strategies into actionable business plans and are comfortable presenting your insights both internally and externally.
We are looking for someone who is organised and driven by results. You communicate clearly with colleagues and stakeholders at all levels, ensuring everyone is aligned even when working across disciplines or geographies. Your proactive approach means you anticipate challenges before they arise and use your project management skills to keep revenue initiatives on track.
While this position is designed at Senior Manager level, we are also open to considering strong candidates with slightly less experience. In such cases, the role may be offered as Manager Offtake & Revenue Solutions.
Qualifications:
- Degree in Finance, Economics, or other similar field of study required
- Experienced work in the power markets industry, ideally with an exposure on renewables.
- Professional working proficiency level of English is required. Fluency in German, Swedish or Dutch would be positive.
- Knowledge of the European electricity markets and renewable electricity industry.
- Experience with Power Purchase Agreements (PPAs) or commercial agreements or transactions within renewable energy or other infrastructure sectors from working within a corporate or financial, legal or technical advisory service.
- Positive, active approach to business with a proven ability to follow a process to conclusion
- Strong organizational and project management skills to support change
- Excellent commercial skills and ability to translate corporate strategy into business plans
- Effective communication skills with an ability to engage a wide range of stakeholders both internally and externally
