Are you ready to make a real difference in the journey towards fossil freedom? At Vattenfall, we are taking clear steps to become less dependent on fossil fuels, and our commitment starts with people who drive positive change. As a Process Excellence Specialist you will play a key role in shaping smarter and safer ways of working that support our strategic ambitions. If you thrive on challenging established processes and enjoy collaborating across diverse teams to create meaningful impact, we want to hear how your expertise can help us move forward. Join us and be part of an international team dedicated to building a sustainable energy future—one step at a time.
What will you do? In this role, you will play a key part in shaping how we work across BA Wind. By designing, developing and optimising process flows based on value stream mapping and industry best practices, you help us create smarter ways of working that drive both compliance and continuous improvement. Your focus will be on making sure our processes are efficient, effective and fully aligned with our Integrated Management System requirements—so every step adds value for our stakeholders.
- Collaborate closely with process owners, local process excellence team members, governance experts and other specialists to develop well-coordinated value streams across the lifecycle.
- Act as a guardian of the IMS governance framework by ensuring all processes meet our standards and support business objectives.
- Identify gaps or overlaps in existing processes, working to harmonise activities so that handoffs are seamless and delays are minimised.
- Use performance data to identify opportunities for improvement (OFIs), lead lean initiatives such as kaizen workshops, and support the development of process performance indicators (PPIs).
- Conduct regular evaluations to ensure processes deliver measurable results while always seeking ways to enhance quality.
Your daily work is hands‑on—you will guide projects from analysis through implementation, interacting with colleagues from different disciplines. Success in this position means not only meeting regulatory requirements but also making tangible improvements that empower your team and contribute to Vattenfall’s progress towards fossil freedom.
Location: Kolding, Amsterdam, London, Hamburg or Solna
Qualifications: You are a process excellence specialist with a solid academic background, ideally holding a bachelor’s degree in operations management, engineering, quality management or business administration. You bring at least five years of hands‑on experience in designing, improving and optimising business processes, preferably within an integrated management system environment. Your deep understanding of value stream mapping and SIPOC means you can translate complex business needs into clear and efficient process flows. To be successful in this role, you have mastered lean methodologies such as Six Sigma, Kaizen or PDCA, and you know how to apply these tools to drive continuous improvement across the organisation. You are confident working with industry standards like ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 27001 and ISO 45001—and integrating them to strengthen compliance and performance. Experience with process modelling (BPMN 2.0), process standards (APQC) and business process management tools such as ARIS is highly beneficial. You thrive when collaborating across teams and functions. Your pragmatic approach helps you balance perfection with practicality while maintaining high standards. As a team player who enjoys visualising data to tell compelling stories, you engage colleagues and stakeholders effectively—coaching others and fostering knowledge sharing is second nature to you. You get excited when you spot gaps or overlaps in process landscapes—and enjoy harmonising workflows for greater efficiency. Your creative mindset keeps you energised by problem solving challenges; you do not give up easily but instead push boundaries thoughtfully.
We are looking for:
- Strong experience in business process design and optimisation using lean/kaizen methods.
- Deep knowledge of integrated management systems standards (ISO 9001 etc.) and their application.
- Familiarity with BPMN 2.0 modelling or APQC frameworks; ARIS tool expertise is an advantage.
- Collaborative skills for stakeholder engagement across local teams and global networks.
- Fluent English communication skills; ability to coach and present ideas clearly.
If you are driven by the opportunity to shape smarter processes that enable fossil freedom within renewable energy projects—and enjoy leading improvement workshops that create lasting impact we want to hear from you.
