About Vateris

Vateris is a climate-tech company developing carbon-to-materials technologies for the construction industry.

Our technology permanently mineralises captured CO₂ into high-performance materials that reduce cement consumption while maintaining or improving concrete performance.

Backed by investors including Holcim and GOLDBECK, Vateris is preparing to deliver a ~£15 million demonstration plant from Q4 2026 onwards and is seeking an exceptional Technical Product Manager to help commercialise our growing product portfolio.

The Role

We are seeking an experienced T echnical Product Manager to lead the strategy, development and commercial readiness of Vateris' products as we transition from technology development to industrial deployment.

Working across Commercial, R&D, Engineering and Operations, you will translate customer requirements into commercially successful products, prioritise development activities and coordinate cross-functional teams to bring products from laboratory through pilot, demonstration and commercial manufacture.

The role covers our growing portfolio across construction materials, fertilisers, industrial minerals and future carbon-derived products.

Responsibilities

  • Own the product strategy and roadmap across Vateris' product portfolio.
  • Define product specifications based on customer and market requirements.
  • Translate commercial opportunities into technical development priorities.
  • Prioritise product development across multiple products and markets.
  • Coordinate R&D, Engineering, Operations and Commercial teams.
  • Lead products from laboratory development through pilot and demonstration to commercial manufacturing.
  • Ensure products meet performance, quality, manufacturability and cost targets.
  • Define product validation, certification and market readiness strategies.
  • Work directly with customers to capture technical requirements and product feedback.
  • Balance technical performance, commercial value and manufacturing capability.
  • Support product documentation, intellectual property generation and technical marketing.

Requirements

  • Ph D (preferred) or MSc degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, Civil Engineering or a related discipline, or equivalent industrial experience.
  • 8+ years of industrial experience in construction materials, specialty chemicals, industrial minerals, cement, fertilisers or related industries.
  • Experience managing industrial products from development through commercialisation.
  • Strong understanding of industrial manufacturing, product development and scale-up.
  • Experience leading multidisciplinary technical and commercial teams.
  • Strong commercial awareness, communication and decision-making skills.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced scale-up environment.

  • Experience defining product strategy and product roadmaps.
  • Experience in construction materials, cement, concrete, industrial minerals, carbon capture or fertilisers.

  • Track record of successfully launching industrial products into international markets.
