Private Funds Associate (4+ PQE) | London
We are working with a leading international law firm on a position within their Private Funds team in London. This is an excellent opportunity for a mid to senior-level associate to join a growing team, working across its corporate, regulatory and finance practices.
The team advises asset managers, investment managers and investors on the full life cycle of private funds and asset management businesses. Work spans the structuring and establishment of private equity, venture capital, credit and other alternative investment funds, secondary fund transactions, fund restructurings and carried interest arrangements.
Alongside this, the team handles asset management M&A, including acquisitions, disposals, minority stake investments, spin-outs and joint ventures involving investment management businesses, as well as corporate advisory and shareholder activism work.
This position would suit a candidate with:
- 4+ years post-qualified experience in private funds, fund formation or asset management at a leading City, national or international law firm
- Experience of private equity, venture capital or alternative investment fund structuring and fundraisings
- Exposure to asset management M&A or corporate work for investment managers would be an advantage
- England & Wales qualification
