We are working with a leading global law firm on a position within their Derivatives practice in London, part of a well-regarded wider team spanning derivatives, capital markets, securitisation and structured finance. This is an excellent opportunity for a collaborative and motivated lawyer to work on a broad range of complex, cross-border derivatives matters in a fast-paced and intellectually stimulating environment.
The team advises financial institutions and investment banks on a wide range of products including:
- structured derivative transactions
- structured repo transactions
- repackagings
- structured notes
- complex collateral structures
- repos and securities lending
- credit risk mitigation
- insurance and alternative risk-transfer products
- Sharia-compliant structures
The role involves drafting, reviewing and negotiating complex legal agreements including ISDA master agreements and credit support documentation, alongside supporting clients on regulatory matters and risk management strategies.
This position would suit a candidate with:
- Qualification as a solicitor in England and Wales, though candidates with experience from other jurisdictions may also be considered
- Experience at a top-tier UK, US or international law firm with a focus on derivatives and structured finance
- Experience drafting, negotiating and advising on ISDA agreements, master agreements and related documentation
- Strong academic background and a solid understanding of derivatives products and financial markets
