We are working with a leading international law firm on an excellent opportunity within its highly regarded Construction, Engineering & Infrastructure Disputes practice in London. This Senior Associate opportunity sits within a market-recognised team known for handling complex, high-value disputes across major domestic and international projects.
The team advises developers, contractors, sponsors and institutional clients on heavyweight contentious construction matters across a broad range of sectors, with particular strength in oil & gas, power (including nuclear and renewables), water, heavy engineering and major infrastructure projects. The practice has a strong UK foundation alongside significant cross-border work, particularly on large-scale infrastructure and energy disputes.
The work spans adjudication, arbitration, litigation and broader dispute avoidance strategy, including delay and disruption claims, defects disputes, termination issues and complex multi-party claims arising from major engineering and construction projects. Associates are given significant responsibility, direct client exposure and the opportunity to work closely with highly regarded senior lawyers on technically sophisticated matters.
Senior Associates are expected to take a leading role on matters, supervise junior lawyers and contribute actively to client development and the wider growth of the practice. This position is ideally suited to an individual with:
- 4+ years’ PQE in Contentious Construction / Construction Disputes / Engineering Disputes
- Experience advising on adjudication, arbitration and/or High Court litigation arising from major construction or infrastructure projects
- Exposure to sectors such as energy, infrastructure, utilities, engineering, transport or industrial development would be highly advantageous
- Qualified in England & Wales, or internationally qualified with strong London market experience
- Training or post-qualified experience gained at a respected City, international or leading specialist disputes practice
- Strong technical drafting skills, commercial judgement and the confidence to manage sophisticated matters with increasing autonomy
