This leading Top 100 firm is recognised across multiple disciplines and has over 50 individually ranked lawyers. They are looking for a Real Estate Senior Associate (5+) to join their partner’s flourishing team.
The Firm
With a national and international presence, this firm has offices throughout the UK, Europe and the US. The firm’s innovative ‘revenue share’ model has helped to reshape the way that the law is practiced in the UK. Each Partner runs his or her own practice within the firm. This quasi-autonomous structure provides Partners with the freedom to work only with the clients they truly want to work with, charging fees that are commercially viable for both the Partner and the client.
Due to continued success, their Real Estate and Real Estate Finance Partner is seeking the addition of a 5+ year PQE Solicitor to join their high calibre, growing team in London.
The Role
They are looking for a Real Estate Senior Associate 5+ years PQE. The partner is headquartered in London, and the ideal candidate will be based locally, with the ability to attend the office at least three days per week. This established and expanding Real Estate/Real Estate Finance Team has extensive expertise in the specialist secured lending industry and general real estate matters. Their primary clients are specialist property finance lenders (bridging and development), whom they support with unregulated loan originations; developers, whom they advise on throughout the life cycle of the development from acquisition, financing and eventual sale and investor. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of Real Estate and a desire to expand their skills within Real Estate Finance.
Essential Experience
- You will be a qualified solicitor 5 years PQE.
- You will have experience in residential and commercial real estate matters.
- You will have experience in acting for commercial clients on the purchase of residential properties being purchased with bridging finance, where the lender is separately represented. This will involve knowing what the lender/their solicitors will require, before you exchange contracts on the purchase.
- You will have experience in acting for clients on the purchase of ground up development sites where they are purchasing with bridging and/or development finance.
- Strong interpersonal skills and a passion for client interaction.
- The ability to meet the challenges posed by demanding clients and tight deadlines without compromising work quality or service.
- Willingness to collaborate closely with team members.
- A strong work ethic.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage a varied caseload of real estate where clients have purchased with bridging finance or development finance, including property acquisition, disposal, investment, and development finance.
- Ensure proactive and efficient management of each case from start to finish.
- Act as a brand ambassador, enhancing the market reputation of the business.
- Exhibit excellent communication skills, proactivity, and creative thinking.
