I recently met with the CEO of this market leading Legal 500 Real Estate firm and discussed their strategic growth plans for 2025. After their continued successes over the past few years, they are looking to hire a partner in Real Estate Finance, an area they specialise in.
This leading Legal 500 firm has a turnover of £16 million, is well run and very profitable. There are around 85 staff, with 32 Partners. All the work is partner led. They deal with numerous large real estate deals around London, working on the other side of the transactions to large City and Magic Circle firms and have over £100 million worth of PI cover. They have the largest mid-market Real Estate Finance team (circa 22 people) and work for over 30 different finance houses. They mostly work on the developer side, with the city/magic circle firms on the other side of the transaction working on funding. They are a multi-service firm and alongside Real Estate, also specialise in Corporate and Commercial, Planning, Private Wealth, Restructuring and Insolvency and Dispute Resolution. They work on large scale transactions and litigations, including recently winning a case against a leading UK bank in a multi-million-pound banking litigation deal. They are well known in the market for their high remuneration packages. One of their partners’ annual take home was over £1.5 million last year, alongside a good benefits package. Senior Equity is on offer for the right candidate.
The CEO puts a big emphasis on culture and collaboration. All departments work closely together in a happy, supportive environment. Corporate Social Responsibility is also playing an increasingly important role in society and business and staff are given half days for charity events, which recently included International Men’s and International Women’s Day.
This department is at the forefront of Real Estate Finance and works with a wide variety of lenders, from well-established names to new entrants in the market. They also work with alternative lenders, disruptors, funds, specialist property lenders, private lenders and family offices. They advise borrowers, from developers, funds and family offices to all aspects of their debt transaction. They also advise financing structures including syndicated, club and bilateral loans. They specialise in the following areas: real estate finance, real estate investment finance, secured lending, bridging finance, Islamic finance, mezzanine lending, whole loan funding, loan on loan facilities, equity investment and PRS/BTR financing, among others.
Salary is dependent on your level of experience, plus an excellent benefits package plus bonus structure. This is a first-rate opportunity for a Real Estate Finance Partner to join a highly experienced, dynamic department in the City of London. Apply now for immediate consideration or feel free to give me a call for a confidential conversation.
