Due to continued success, increasing demand and strong strategic growth, this highly regarded Legal 500 firm is making a key hire into its thriving Real Estate Disputes team in London. They are looking for a Real Estate Disputes Solicitor with 4+ years PQE to join their fast-paced and highly respected team, working alongside the Director and Head of Real Estate Disputes and the wider team, whilst running a varied and high-quality caseload of complex property litigation matters.

This prominent firm has exciting growth plans over the next few years. Their current turnover is £19 million, with projected growth to £20 million next year. They are forecasting a further 15% growth year on year and are well placed to continue exceeding this. They currently house 200 staff, of which 150 are Solicitors and Partners. As a firm they like to grow organically and promote from within, and there are multiple examples and success stories, including an individual who joined the firm as a trainee and is now a director over the course of 5 years. They are a multi-service practice, with a particularly strong Real Estate offering, which underpins many of the firm’s wider practice areas. They punch well above their weight, with their main competitors impressively including a number of Top 50 firms. The firm has attracted many Lawyers out of larger ‘city’ practices, who have been looking for a more collegiate, friendly culture where individuals can make more of an impact without sacrificing on quality of work and clients. You will also find there is much more in the way of staff flexibility and work-life balance, with support for hybrid working on a permanent basis. The Role
This is an excellent opportunity to join a busy and commercially focused disputes practice, acting on a broad range of high-value and complex real estate litigation matters, while working closely with senior leadership and taking ownership of your own caseload. You will deal with a broad range of work that, among other areas, will include:
- Managing your own caseload of high-quality Real Estate Disputes matters
- Advising on a broad range of disputes including party wall claims, developer disputes, trespass claims and rights to light/easement matters
- Handling landlord and tenant disputes, including possession proceedings on behalf of landlords and lenders
- Acting on contested lease renewals, forfeiture matters and applications for relief from forfeiture
- Managing debt recovery matters and advising clients on commercially pragmatic dispute resolution strategies
- Assisting senior members of the team on high-value and complex litigation matters
- Drafting and reviewing pleadings, legal documents and correspondence to a high technical standard
- Building and maintaining strong client relationships, delivering exceptional service and commercially focused advice
- Collaborating closely with colleagues across the wider Real Estate and Disputes teams to deliver joined-up legal solutions
Requirements
- You will be a Solicitor with 3+ years PQE in Real Estate Disputes / Property Litigation
- You will ideally have recent London market experience gained from a high quality firm
- You will have experience handling high-value and technically complex Real Estate Disputes matters
- You will have strong client-facing skills and the ability to build lasting relationships
- You will thrive in a fast-paced environment and remain calm under pressure
- You will be highly organised, technically strong and have exceptional attention to detail
- You will be collaborative in approach and comfortable working with stakeholders at all levels
